Course Outline

 

Module 1 - Setting Up Claude for Sales

 

Objectives:

 

  • Create and verify a Claude account from scratch
  • Navigate all major interface areas confidently
  • Configure User Preferences and Memory for work
  • Send professional prompts and use the follow-up technique
  • Use Web Search to retrieve live premium trend data
  • Configure Profile Preferences with TTS company, product, ICP, and sales tone
  • Create two Styles: Sales — Outreach (external, human-sounding) and Sales — Internal (team comms)
  • Build the ICP Reference File using individual Add-Content commands covering company profile, buyer personas, pain points, and disqualifiers
  • Test the setup by uploading the ICP file and verifying Claude applies it automatically

Module 2 - Account Research and Pre-Call Briefs

 

Objectives:

 

  • Use web search to build a 6-section pre-call brief (Company Snapshot, Recent News, Insurance Risk Signals, Likely Pain Points, Stakeholder Intel, Smart Questions)
  • Ask a sharpening follow-up to identify the single best opening hook for the call
  • Build and save a reusable account research prompt template with a single placeholder
  • Upload the renewal book CSV and run ICP-based qualification scoring across all clients

Module 3 - Personalised Outreach at Scale

 

Objectives:

 

  • Write a cold email with three hook variations (project-specific, renewal date, web-searched market stat)
  • Write three LinkedIn connection request messages including a mutual-connection placeholder version
  • Build a 3-touch follow-up sequence with a human-sounding breakup email at touch 3
  • Rewrite the core cold email for four industries (construction, hospitality, healthcare, professional services) side by side

Module 4 - Discovery Call Preparation

 

Objectives:

 

  • Build a 30-minute discovery call plan with objective, opening, 8 questions in priority order, hypothesis, and close
  • Create a 3-stage question bank (discovery, qualification, closing) with good/red-flag answer notes per question
  • Map the buying committee stakeholder roles with a 3-step engagement sequence
  • Research direct insurer weaknesses with web search and build a competitive battle card

Module 5 - Handling Objections with Claude

 

Objectives:

 

  • Build an 8-objection library with underlying concerns and structured responses
  • Deep-dive on the hardest objection ("happy with current broker") with 3 completely different response strategies
  • Live role-play practice with Claude as a sceptical CFO — Claude coaches after every exchange
  • Build a 4-strategy price objection framework (ROI reframe, comparison reframe, risk reframe, trial offer)

Module 6 - Post-Call Debrief and Follow-Up

 

Objectives:

 

  • Build a realistic call notes file using individual Add-Content commands
  • Generate the three standard post-call outputs from uploaded notes: action item checklist, internal Slack-style team message, customer follow-up email
  • Score the deal against MEDDIC with Green/Amber/Red ratings and gap analysis
  • Save a reusable post-call debrief template with a single placeholder for future calls

Module 7 - Building a Deal Project in Claude

 

Objectives:

 

  • Create the Harbour Built deal Project with instructions encoding stage, contacts, and goal
  • Load the knowledge base with ICP reference, call notes, and competitive context
  • Generate the promised benchmark review document and the email to send it with — directly from project context
  • Test cross-conversation project memory by opening a second conversation and asking deal-specific objection prep

Module 8 - Pipeline and Proposal Writing

 

Objectives:

 

  • Run a 4-deal pipeline review scoring against BANT with risk flags and priority actions per deal
  • Write a deal-specific proposal using discovery intel from the project knowledge base
  • Stress-test the proposal — Claude finds 5 weaknesses and suggests specific improvements
  • Tighten the executive summary to 3 sentences maximum
  • Ask Claude to compile a personal sales prompt library covering all 8 modules as a permanent reference card
