This course provides students with an introduction to creating Process Flows by building a foundational understanding of the key features in Microsoft Power Automate.

Description

This course provides students with an introduction to creating Process Flows by building a foundational understanding of the key features in Microsoft Power Automate. This includes the skills needed to develop, test and edit numerous Flows from both blank and template – as to achieve automation over numerous business tasks.

Students will learn important flow creation skills including how to proficiently work in Microsoft Power Automate, to create seven custom flows.

 

Audience profile

This course has been designed to apply to end users of Microsoft Automate.
It is recommended that attendees of this course have an existing working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook. However, this course assumes no prior knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Power Automate.

 

At course completion

After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Set up a Power Automate Environment
  • Create Process Flows in Power Automate from Blank and Template.
  • Edit custom Process Flows in Power Automate – which automates numerous business tasks.
  • Test and Apply Process Flows in Power Automate.

Module 1: Introduction

This module provides an introduction to the lab environment and lab settings – as well as an orientation of the main features of Power Automate.

Module 2: Creating Process Flows

In this module, the student will gain the skills needed to create and manage custom flows from blank and template to carry out numerous business scenarios.

  • Create the flows for the following scenarios;
  • To Lookup and update a child record when a parent record is updated
  • To create a new record when an Opportunity is updated
  • To create an appointment when an opportunity record is created
  • Create a Flow in Power Automate from the Blank Template
  • Create an Automated Flow
  • Create a Power Automate Weekly Team meeting Email reminder
  • Create a Power Automate Sales Business Process Flow
  • Add an Instant Flow as a Step in a Business Process Flow
  • Test your Business Process Flow
