Power Apps - Creating Reports Using the TDS EndPoint

This course provides students with an introduction to the Tabular Data Stream (TDS) in Microsoft Power Apps by building a custom SSRS reports via Microsoft SQL Servers. This includes the skills needed to connect to a CDS using SQL and construct a SSRS report.

Students will learn important data management skills including how to obtain data from a CDS using SQL and how to build a new SSRS report.

Audience profile

This course has been designed to apply to Administrators of Microsoft Power Apps.
It is recommended that attendees of this course have an existing working knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps and Dynamics 365 before starting this course.

At course completion

After completing this course, students will be able to:

• Connect a CDS to a Microsoft SQL server
• Install and use Microsoft reporting services projects extension
• Create a new SSRS report

Module 2: Constructing a SSRS report

This module will provide the student with the skills needed to develop a SSRS report using a custom CDS via Microsoft SQL servers.

• Connect CDS to the Microsoft SQL server
• Installing Microsoft Reporting Services Projects extensions
• Create new project for creating SSRS report

Experience in Power Apps, Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform Admin Centre is recommended to sit this course. This course applies to administrators and provides a additional skills to be used in cohesion with other Microsoft applications.
